But that was easily fixed using the tag from the web feature plus adding the art directly to the albums from my pictures directory. Going thru the iTunes File menu to add file to library does not work either. Today, after upgrading to iTunes 11, (EDIT: 11.1, I guess I already had 11.0) I can't seem to drop the files into iTunes. Hope this helps someone else!

The full mp3 listing is properly shown.But if you mean going to ITunes and ''Automatically Add to ITunes'' folder I can't see any such tab in ITunes tabs or sub-tabs. Other older files drag fine.
