From what I've been reading it seems that Excel won't allow focus to change while in edit mode. I followed the advise from excel but the advanced box "edit directly in Cell" was already checked.

When I use the autofill feature it simply does not work. If Delete columns is protected and Insert columns is not also protected, a user can insert columns that he or she cannot delete.
