Sure, they are a last resort, but they should not be used routinely. unexpectedly my pc has slowed up (how time passes) im looking at my disk monitor just now and this is what ive got. ...windows/system32/config/regback/system 10,000,000 bites per minute looks like the the disk cleaner removed around 2.2k files (less than 0.5 gig) and the registry scan found about 400 errors which it corrected including around 50 missing shared dll files which it navigate here
That will get you into more trouble than it's worth. How-to-Geek has other articles on this but it was not mentioned in this one. Good catch! The bottom list shows programs and drivers that might be restored by the process.
